Cities for People – Jan Gehl

Jan Gehl is an urban designer and architect based in Copenhagen/Denmark. Starting with his first book “Life between buildings” published first in 1971 in Danish (English Version 1987). He was one major key driver to change Copenhagen from a car orientated to a pedestrian/bike orientated city. He published in 2011 a new book called “Cities for people”. If you are able to understand danish watch his presentation at the Aarhus Architecture School this year and here are two other presentations he held in Melbourne and in New York City @ Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum.
