Design firm ACT , recently won the International Garden Festival, Ponte de Lima in Portugal, with its proposal “Taste The Slope.  The concept joins the physical experience of growing and eating food, and is an excellent example of how community gardens can become more interesting than the one dimensional raised bed.

The design makes visitors an integrated design feature by forming a terraced garden  distributed in levels.  It visually and symbolically demonstrates that users of the garden and its space are connected.
