Istanbul is a city with a long and eventful history. The project “Yepkpare” was dealing with its 8500 years long history  in the context of the European Cultural Capital 2010. What makes this project so unique is that the story was told in a front projection and was also projected on a very historic place: The Haydarpasa train station, right on the Bosphorus, originally built as a starting point of the Baghdad Railway in Wilhelminian style.

Yekpare” is a storyteller which narrates the 8500 year story of Istanbul. The story embraces symbols from Pagans to Roman Empire, from Byzantine Empire to Latin Empire, and finally from Ottoman Empire to Istanbul at the present day.”
